I wanted to start this article off by explaining my favorite sales trick that I’ve learned to date.

My first sales job was selling Audio Visual solutions to schools and enterprises, the best part about the job was that my company was a smaller division of an even bigger company.

This allowed me to network with this bigger companies sales reps who had quotas of 5–15 million.

Unlike mine which was 250k…

I remember one day I was talking to one of the reps and I was explaining to them how I can’t get a hold of a couple of my leads that I swore I was going to close. I explained how I’ve followed up twice now and still haven’t heard a response from them.

The rep then explained to me a trick that they use to get an answer from a client or lead and it works 99% of the time.

Here’s the trick:

Send an email to your client. Do not put anything in the email. All you need to do is add “Did our deal fall through?” in the subject. Click send.
